Frequently asked questions
What people ask before deciding
Answered with what Barion does today, including what it doesn't. If yours is missing, write to us and we'll answer it ourselves.
Getting started
What exactly is Barion?
Management software for barbershops: a calendar with online booking, a record for every client, your team's commissions and payouts, and a public page where your clients book on their own. It runs in the browser and it's built for the shop owner, not for the end client.
What do I need to get started?
A browser. You create your shop with a name, an email, a phone number and the public address you choose, load your services and your barbers, and share your link. Nothing gets installed — not on your machine and not on your clients' phones.
How long until it's up and running?
An afternoon. Three steps: create the shop, load services and barbers, and share your link on WhatsApp, in your profile or with the QR code on the wall. From there the first client can already book.
Does the trial ask for a card?
No. It's 7 full days with no card, and you pick a plan at the end. If you decide not to continue, you export your data and that's it.
Is it any use if I work alone, with no team?
Yes. The entry plan is built for a single location, and the calendar, the booking page and the client records work the same with one barber as with five. Commissions simply wait until you hire.
How it works
How do my clients book?
From your booking page: your shop has its own public address. The client opens it, picks a service, a barber and a slot that's genuinely free, confirms their phone number and the appointment is set. No calling, no waiting for a reply, nothing to install.
What if two clients ask for the same slot?
It doesn't happen: overlaps are rejected by the system, not by your memory. The calendar knows each barber's shift, their breaks and their time off, so it only offers slots that chair can actually take.
Do clients get a reminder before the appointment?
Yes, an automatic reminder goes out before every appointment. That's what brings no-shows down without anyone writing messages one by one.
Do you pay for the WhatsApp or SMS messages?
No, and that's why the subscription costs what you see. WhatsApp and SMS are channels each shop connects with its own provider account: you contract the channel and Barion sends through it. What Barion doesn't do is bury that variable cost inside the price or charge you per message sent.
Does Barion charge my clients?
No. Barion doesn't process end-client payments: it records how each appointment was paid so that the till and the commissions add up. Taking the money stays yours, in your shop, with the methods you already use.
Does every barber see the whole shop's information?
No. There are roles and permissions: a barber signs in to their dashboard, sees their schedule and what they've produced, and nothing else. The shop's accounts, the rest of the team and the settings belong to the owner and to whoever they authorise.
Can I have several locations?
Yes, on the plan that includes them. Each location keeps its own calendar, team and opening hours, and the numbers can be read per location or all together, under the same shop and the same login.
Price, data and commitment
What currency do I pay in?
Your country's. Barion operates in Colombia (COP), the United States (USD) and Spain (EUR), and each country's price is its own price, not today's exchange rate. The billing country is fixed when you create your shop; the selector on this page only changes the prices you're looking at.
Is there a minimum term?
No. There's no lock-in contract and no penalty: you leave whenever you want and stop paying the following period.
Can I take my data with me if I leave?
Yes. Your clients, your appointments and your numbers can be exported whenever you want, not only on the day you leave. Your shop's data is yours.
Is my data mixed in with other barbershops'?
No. Every shop is isolated, and that separation is enforced by the database itself — not by a condition somebody could forget to write in the code. Nobody from another shop can read your calendar or your clients.
What happens to my appointments if I change plan?
Nothing. You change plan whenever the shop needs it, and everything already booked stays exactly as it is, with its barber, its time and its price.
Will my shop show up in a Barion directory?
No. Barion isn't a marketplace: there's no search page and no directory of barbershops where your clients would run into your competition. Your booking page is yours, and the people who reach it are the ones you invite, with your link or with the QR code on the wall.
